Kairos Spring Update

MINISTRY: Kairos Prison Ministry | International Ministry…we support the Michael Unit

MINISTRY PURPOSE: to bring the love of Jesus into prisons across the globe.

TESTIMONY:
At the last event, something happened that has not happened in 15 years. It is difficult to explain with words what the Holy Spirit did. To give you context, just know there are violent gangs in prison and division between races. During the event, a man who was really struggling acknowledged his need for prayer. The whole group, various races of inmates, came down and started praying for him. The Holy Spirit came upon the man, and he got deliverance. There was unification among the races which you never expect to happen. God breaks down walls!

KNOW:
Kairos prison ministry is on a mission to develop a Christian community inside prisons. We are focused on the Michael Unit in East Texas were there are 2,500 men in prison.

Good news! About 500 of the 2,500 men are connected to Kairos is some way. That is a huge impact!

A special Kairos 3 ½ day event is offered inside the prison two times a year with the last event just concluded: April 30 – May3.

PRAY:
The last event just happened from April 30 to May 3rd.

Pray that the impact from the weekend is long lasting, that those who were saved continue to grow in discipleship to Jesus, and that the hearts impacted would surrender to Jesus.

Pray for a strong and healthy leadership team.

Volunteer for a Weekend - If you would like to join our team to volunteer for the weekend, send an email to David@wellspringdfw.org. As you might imagine, there is a significant prep & training process prior to being able to go into the prisons.

Write a Letter - as a part of the weekend, each inmate that attends receives letters from folks who are praying for them. For many of the inmates, these letters are treated like gold. They get a small piece of the love of God’s church has for prisoners who feel forgotten and stained in this world. The impact is powerful.
