ICSS Spring Update
MINISTRY: I Can Still Shine | NRH, TX
MINISTRY PURPOSE: to help women and their children get out of the clutches of abuse, on their feet, and thriving in all areas of life.
KNOW:
We are grateful to share that we have had a strong and impactful first quarter.
We hosted one special event where over 80 moms and children attended.
During this time, we were able to bless them with manicures, haircuts, clothing, shoes, purses, makeup, and gift bags for each family. Most importantly, we had the opportunity to pray with many mothers who came forward seeking prayer, which was a powerful and meaningful time for everyone involved.
Currently, we are providing food for over 250 moms and children each month.
In addition, this quarter we were able to assist 12 families with rent and electricity, helping meet urgent needs during difficult times.
Education continues to be a major focus of our ministry.
This quarter, we helped send 20 mothers and teens to college across the state. To date, we have supported 95 mothers and teens in pursuing higher education.
We are also continuing to invest in emotional and spiritual healing by providing access to Christian counseling. We recently sent our 58th mom to counseling, which has been life-changing for many.
Every day, we witness new miracles within this ministry. Each Thursday, we offer prayer throughout the day for anyone who comes in. This has been especially meaningful for several mothers who are currently battling cancer, providing them with comfort, hope, and encouragement.
As we move forward, we remain committed to staying steadfast and completing the work God has called us to do.
