Matthew 25:20-21, 2 Samuel 11:1-2, Job 31:1, Mathew 5:28, Proverbs 6:10-11, Matthew 7:7-8, Galatians 6:7-9, Ecclesiastes 11:1-6
What to Believe:
1. Little decisions make big decisions.
God can use small animals (safari ants and termites) to do big things. They are small but powerful. Matthew 25:20-21 shows us that faithfulness in small things can result in big things.
2 Samuel 11:1-2 teaches that being in the wrong place at the wrong time can set us up for a sinful choice. (David hanging out at the palace instead of at the war).
Watershed - triple divide peak in Montana–a raindrop that falls one inch different can be on its way to the Atlantic, Pacific or Arctic ocean(2500 miles apart).
Little Decisions DO add up and set new directions and.lead to good or bad.
Ex. Good habits, working out, bible reading.
Winning little skirmishes can make big battles unnecessary.
2 Little actions add up.
What goals, aims and desires can you pursue over time?
Daffodil principle. A glorious 5 acre hillside covered in daffodils was planted by one woman, one bulb at a time over 40 years.
Big things are started with one step at a time.
3. Little seeds are powerful.
Galatians 6:7-9 Don’t give up the good things you are doing, you will reap a harvest.
Ex. We start with a little decision to become born again, to start a daily quiet time, to serve others, disciple your kids, etc.
The Rule of 100 says that if you practice (anything) for 100 hours per year( that’s only 18 minutes a day!), you will become better at is than 95% of the world.
How to Obey:
Start tomorrow to begin something eternal and significant.
How to Walk Intimately with God:
What is one little thing I can do everyday that will lead to big results.
Ask: “What are you saying to me Lord?” Make a commitment to ONE little thing you can begin, ASK God to reveal what that is, AND tell someone what you need to do.
