Kenya Summer Update
MINISTRY: Mission Barnabas [US Name] / Clarence Matheny Ministries (CMM) [Kenyan Name]
MINISTRY PURPOSE: Developing Generational Leaders for Christ in Eastern Africa through conferences, pastors trainings, and a Bible School.
TESTIMONY:
CMM is very thrilled to share an amazing testimony.
They have had the opportunity to have their very first Assessment for Ministers of gospel - specifically pastors who have never attended any accredited theological course.
They had 30 pastors who came and ALL of them passed the assessment and will now get accredited papers! This is a very big step. Especially now that the law in Kenya is changing to require pastors to have accreditation.
We feel that Clarence Matheny bible college is perfectly positioned to save many churches from future closures. We thank God they have been rated as the best and most prepared Bible college for RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) assessments.
KNOW:
CMM is aiming to assess and evaluate over 300 pastors by September this year. CMM has the chance to earn a qualification awarding level which will allow them to have a higher impact in the nations. This is critical for CMM because it presents a chance to be recognized nationally as a college that will help other colleges do more for the kingdom of God.
PRAY:
Pray for continued support and scholarships to help the pastors who are from rural regions. As they still find it difficult to raise the 100 dollars required for each person to do the RPL assessment. There are about 200 pastors waiting on the list who cannot afford the payment. We trust that God will make a way.
GIVE:
Right now our focus is on helping those pastors from hard to reach regions who need a helping hand to acquire valid accreditation. With over 200 pastors waiting we are looking to raise $20,000 to get them through by September. Wellspring can choose to take one or more pastors through this assessment. Each one needs only $100 to cover their costs.
