Scriptures: Matthew 13:24-38 | Psalm 112:9 | Luke 13:28 | Ephesians 5:11 | Matthew 13:37

What to Believe:
Mathew 13:24 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness.

Matthew 13:26 So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also

“Did you not sow good seed? How did this happen?” The enemy sowed them. Let them be harvested together, and burn the weeds and gather the wheat.

  • True wheat (believers) bear good fruit.

  • False wheat (unbelievers) do not bear good fruit.

Matthew 13:37-38: He answered ( the one who sows the good seeds is the son of man. The field is the world, and the good seeds are the sons of the Father. And the weeds are the sons of the evil one.

  • Gnashing of teeth means being angry or angry with the righteous one

  • Psalms 112:9 He has given freely; he has given to the poor. But the wicked one was gnashing his teeth

Luke 13:28 - Jesus doesn't have limited understanding; he has whole understanding, and we can't always perceive what will happen.

  • On the day of judgment, there will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth

  • The day of judgment is a day of justice and fairness

  • The only unfair thing that will happen on the day of judgment is that a multitude of sinners will be spared the punishment we deserve because we have cried out for mercy in the name of Jesus

  • Sin and judgment and repentance and righteousness then who is training the church to obey Ephesians 5:11

The purpose of the parable of the weeds is to inform the church of temporary pollution. There are parables in the Bible for a reason: to give us warning so we may pray and bring Godly correction to those around us in the church.

Matthew 13:27: The servants of the master came and said, “Master, did you not put in good seed? The field, how does it have weeds?”

  • As the field grows, the enemy is allowed to infiltrate it and sow weeds.

How to Obey:

Bear fruit in keeping with repentance

How to Walk Intimately with God:

Pray, "Father, expose in me any untrue way. Any way that is not of you, your will."
