Latin America Fall Update
MINISTRY: MiCaf Churches & DMM Movement | Latin American Country
MINISTRY PURPOSE: to make disciples through Gospel advancing small groups + minister to their people through various felt need ministries.
TESTIMONY:
A few weeks ago, we (Mike and Lara Fuller) had a chance to catch up with Norlen and his family as they happened to be in town.
We were so excited to see them in person again, as they had been serving with another ministry organization in Spain for 7 1/2 months.
They let us know that they had returned to Latin America in June, and Norlen was back in charge of not only his church but also the rest of the ministry organization at large.
He said upon returning, they did go without power for three weeks and experienced hunger along with the rest of the population due to the lack of refrigeration. Since then, they were able to install solar panels on their house and now store the refrigerated items for the feeding ministry at their home.
It's almost like he never left Latin America! Norlen's fervor, passion, and vision for sharing God's love for the people keeps growing. After sharing various updates on the different projects that we had seen when we visited, he said, "All this is done by faith."
And how could it be anything else?
We have witnessed firsthand how the Holy Spirit has been moving in that land beyond what our human minds can imagine, and we can't wait to see how God continues to use Wellspring's partnership to continue helping our ministry partners extend His Kingdom in the future!
KNOW:
This summer, our Wellspring kids were able to send a whopping $1002.02 to help our partners in Latin America with their VBS/children's ministry!
This money was the combined total of VBS offerings along with the offerings from Kids' Church throughout the year.
In August, several churches worked together to provide VBS for the area kids. They also held their youth festival camp at the campground they have been developing for all the churches in the area to use for major functions.
Recently, they also held a leadership conference for people from 14 different churches representing various denominations in three different areas, a marriage conference, and a men's breakfast.
They are consistently bringing hope, light, and life to the people in their churches, communities, and beyond in spite of what most people would consider dire circumstances!
PRAY:
Pray that the leaders in this ministry will not become disheartened in light of the constant struggles to function and survive in every aspect of life.
Pray that God will continue to shield them from government interference as they faithfully serve their communities and bring them the message of salvation.
Pray that God will continue to multiply their resources like the loaves and fishes.
Pray that they will have enough power due to continuing fuel shortages and power grid issues.
Pray for protection over their health as the water supply is getting worse and refrigeration for food is harder to come by due to the power shortage.
GIVE:
Prayer coverage is still the number one thing that we can give to our ministry partners in Cuba. However, if God lays it on your heart to give a special offering to them for a specific purpose beyond what our church already gives, please let us know, and we will reach out to them to help make that happen! They minister in so many different capacities that the opportunities are endless!

GO:
There are no plans for a trip in the near future, but we are hopeful to be able to join them again in person to labor beside them not too long from now!
