We have been talking about predestination for the last 4 or 5 weeks. If you’re visiting this morning, you missed maybe 4 weeks of messages on this. I don’t want you to get offended because sometimes predestination is such an emotional topic – and you go, “why are you teaching emotional topics?” I just like a good fight! I was raised that way.
No, actually we’re teaching it because the Bible says so much about predestination – Jesus, the apostles, the Old Testament. It is talked about from the beginning to the end of the Bible. God puts a great value on it, and yet we have kind of shied away from it. I think it’s largely because of controversy and misunderstanding…

Thank you for this teaching on predestination and suffering. I am moved and touched.
I am pretty sure you won’t remember this, but 10 years ago you prayed for my son who had just received a diagnosis of autism then. We attended at that time a church called Vineyard of Hope in Walnut CA.
The last 10 years has been a time of trials, suffering, struggles, healing and awakening.
Like you said, it is a mystery as to why. But we are learning to press into the heart of God. Not there yet, still pursuing.
