Youth Ministry

Wellspring Youth’s vision is to equip students to do the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:12) We emphasize:

  1. Loving God
  2. Loving others
  3. Serving the world

We believe that if we create an atmosphere that is adequately doing these three things we can help students to continue pursuing God once they graduate from high school. We aim to nourish students spiritually while having a blast at the same time.

We have two youth group meetings during the week.

Our Primary Meeting is on Wednesday 6:30-8:30 in the Youth room.

We encourage all students to come to this meeting as well as invite their friends. Most weeks the service includes (in no particular order):

  1. Fellowship
  2. Game
  3. Worship
  4. Tithe
  5. Teaching
  6. Breakout Groups

On our Wednesday nights once a month we will have an event that is led by a certain “God Pod.” God Pods are student groups based on the students’ spiritual gifts or particular ministry interests.

The different God Pods are:

  • The Justice League (focused on supporting missions – both local and abroad)
  • The Supernatural Team (focused on learning more about the spiritual gifts)
  • The Worship team (focused on helping students learn how to use their musical giftings)
  • The Service team (focused on finding ways to serve the youth group, the church as a whole, and the community)
  • The dream team (focused on creating fun and outrageous youth events)

They are all engineered to help students DO the work of the ministry as opposed to just being spectators.

Our second youth meeting is called ‘Crossroads’ and is on Sunday afternoons from 2:30-4pm.

These groups are age and gender based, and are offered to the students who want to cultivate their friendship with Jesus and take it to the next level. We do not encourage everyone to come to these meetings, just students who will make the commitment to come every week and are willing to ‘take up their cross’ and follow Jesus.
