DAWN MARTIN - CHILDREN'S PASTOR

Date I Was Saved: ...I was 11 years old.  It was at Falls Creek Baptist Church camp, and I had just heard this testimony from the man named Ed, who had shot his mom while on drugs.  I'll never forget crying while he told us how he remembered her praying for him even while she was dying and then thinking how Jesus had done the same thing.  It all became clear, there were no other options, how could I not serve someone who loved me so much.

Where I Grew Up:  Believe it or not, I'm a country girl and grew up on a ranch just outside of Comanche, OK.  Yes, we raised cattle, rode horses, and grew all of our own vegetables.

My Family:  Amazing!  I'm married to the most good looking and talented man ever. If I dream it he can build it.  How lucky am I?  Together we have raised three totally awesome children.  Tyler, our baby, is 19, attends TCC and coaches at World of Gymnastics Academy.  Sarah, our middle child, is 21 and attending her last year at Tarleton College. And Amy, our oldest, works full time running a large apartment community.

Other Jobs I've Had: Wow! That list is a little long, if you go back to my high school days.  I've always worked! I've worked for 1 ophthalmologist, 3 dentists, 1 psychologist, and 6 churches including this one, 2 non-denominational, 2 Episcopal, and 2 Methodist.  That makes a total of 19 years of working in churches. I love the body of Christ!  I so believe that Jesus is coming back for a bride, not a harem and I want to be a part of making her ready for His return.

One Thing I Find Most Fascinating:  Babies as they learn to walk.  They are so wobbly and they really should fall over more than they do.  And when they do take those hard falls, they just get back up.  I wish I was still that resilient.
